Steve Helmbrecht
President and CEO
Steve Helmbrecht is President and CEO of Treasury4 where he oversees company strategy, business and financial operations. For four years, Steve was CEO of Lakeside Capital Group, a privately-held investment firm. From 2005 to 2014, Steve served as EVP and CFO of Itron, Inc. (NASDAQ: ITRI), a leading global solutions provider creating, collecting and analyzing usage data for electricity, gas and water, with 8,000 employees and revenue of $2.5 billion. From 1993 to 2000, Steve was with SS&C Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: SSNC) a leading financial technology company, including over three years in London as SVP International, where he established the company’s international operations.

Steve serves on the board of Washington Trust Bank and Gonzaga University Board of Regents. He has a BA in Accounting from the University of Washington and a Master of Taxation from the University of Denver.
Ed Barrie
Treasurer & Chief Product Officer
Ed Barrie is Chief Product Officer for Treasury4 and is responsible for product strategy and capabilities. Ed engages with customers and partners to understand their challenges and needs and incorporates their feedback into the Treasury4 product roadmap.

Prior to co-founding Treasury4, Ed spent six years at Tableau Software & Salesforce.com and was responsible for building their award-winning treasury organization, where Ed and his team earned the Treasury & Risk 2020 Alexander Hamilton award for Technology Excellence, Treasury Today 2018 Adam Smith Award for the category of Harnessing the Power of Technology as a result of driving advanced cash, payments and investment analytics as well as a 2019 Adam Smith Highly Commended Award for Best Card Solution in partnership with Bank of America. Ed spent six years at Itron, Inc. (NASDAQ: ITRI) as Assistant Treasurer where his team earned the Treasury Today 2014 Adam Smith Award for Best Process Re-engineering Solution for their efforts in implementing world class treasury systems and processes. Prior to joining Itron, Ed spent seven years in Microsoft’s Global Treasury Department with responsibility for treasury systems, including the company’s SWIFT implementation and treasury operations. Ed earned a BA in Economics from Eastern Washington University.
Chuck McAtee
Chief Technology Officer
Chuck McAtee is Chief Technology Officer at Treasury4 and is responsible for product development, information technology and the operations of the company’s cloud-based solutions. In addition, Chuck is responsible for all aspects of information security and compliance. Prior to joining Treasury4, Chuck served as Vice President of Information Technology and Chief Information Officer for 15 years at Itron, Inc. (NASDAQ: ITRI). During his time at Itron, the company grew to $2.5 billion in revenue through several large global acquisitions in which Chuck helped integrate the acquired companies and deploy global technology infrastructure and enterprise applications at 50+ locations in 25 countries.

Before joining Itron, he served as Director of IT for Schlumberger Electricity Metering in charge of global IT operations. He spent 18 years with Schlumberger, serving in numerous technology roles including IT Operations Manager North America for Schlumberger Resource Management Services. Chuck brings many years of large-scale global business and technology experience to Treasury4. Chuck received a BS in Computer Science with a concentration in Business Administration from Clemson University.
Suresh Thekkenmar
Chief Customer Officer
Suresh Thekkenmar serves as Chief Customer Officer at Treasury4 and is responsible for building out the service infrastructure for customers, including the implementation process, training, customer support, and operations related to Advisory4.

Suresh is a veteran of the institutional FinTech industry with 30 years of experience. He has worked with over 350 clients in Insurance, Asset Management, Banking, Pension Funds, Hedge Fund, and Healthcare sectors. Suresh was the Founder/CEO at MedUSA, a technology-enabled services company serving the healthcare sector, whose primary focus is revenue cycle management. From 2012-2013, he was responsible for global implementation operations, post-implementation customer experience, and the SaaS offering at Calypso Technology. For 20 years, he worked with SS&C Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: SSNC) in several positions, including three years in London (1997-2000) launching and building SS&C’s international operations. During his time at SS&C, Suresh had a range of responsibilities including Sales, Product Development, Implementations, Consulting, Training, Customer Support, and SaaS / BPO serving Financial Services and Investment Operations. Customers included Insurance companies, Banks, Asset Managers, Hedge Funds, PE firms & Pension Funds.
Randie Douse
Vice President, Employee Success
Randie Douse serves as Vice President, Employee Success (Human Resources) at Treasury4. She is responsible for creating all programs related to employee recognition and retention. Her emphasis is placed on recruiting top talent, creating growth and development opportunities for team members, and ensuring Treasury4 is an active member of the Spokane community, starting with the Treasury4 internship program.

Randie's specialty lies in building noteworthy company cultures and fostering high-performing teams. At Gonzaga University, she was responsible for designing and delivering University-sponsored training. She coached leaders on team culture and improving productivity as well as facilitated the design of effective organizational structures. At Stay Alfred, Randie was responsible for creating and scaling the Human Resources function. She spearheaded a complex and innovative recruiting strategy that led to the successful onboarding of over 500 employees in 35+ states in less than five years.
Nathan Brown
Chief Analytics Officer
Nathan Brown is Chief Analytics Officer at Treasury4 where he is responsible for product management, marketing communications and UI/UX design. Prior to co-founding Treasury4, Nathan spent 12 years at Itron, Inc. (NASDAQ: ITRI), where he served as Director of Global Commercial Financing Programs and Assistant Treasurer. He spearheaded the development of several important treasury innovations and was a member of the Itron treasury team that won a Treasury Today / Adam Smith Award in 2014.

He also managed the M&A valuation team responsible for advanced modeling of two key Itron acquisitions—Silver Spring Networks ($1.0b) and Comverge ($100m). Nathan was CFO at several early-stage companies and has also worked as a management consultant, accounting manager and business analyst. He has a BS in International Business from San Jose State University and an MBA in Finance from the Graduate School of Business at Stanford University.
Jeff Mullen
Board Member
Jeff Mullen is a Partner at WestCap and a member of the firm's Investment Committee. Before WestCap, Jeff was Treasurer of Airbnb, joining in 2016 as its first Treasurer and building its treasury and insurance solutions teams. Before joining Airbnb, he worked at Goldman Sachs for 16 years in a variety of roles, most recently as a Managing Director in its Investment Management Division. Jeff started his career as a corporate attorney at the law firm, Simpson Thacher & Bartlett, where he worked from 1995 to 2000. He currently serves on the board of directors of HelpMeSee, Inc. and the Fabretto Children’s Foundation.

Sean Duncan
Board Member
Sean Duncan is a Principal at WestCap. Prior to this, he spent time in various operating roles, most recently as a Director in IHS Markit’s Private Capital Markets Group. From 2016 through 2018, he was a Director on Ipreo’s Corporate Development team, responsible for M&A and business development, which culminated in the sale of Ipreo to IHS Markit in 2018. From 2011 through 2016, he was a Vice President in the Investment Management division of BNY Mellon. Sean received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Harvard University, where he was also a member of the lightweight crew team. He has been a CFA charterholder since 2015.

Tom Simpson
Board Member
With over 35 years of diverse experience, Tom Simpson is a seasoned professional in investment banking, venture capital, angel investing, and entrepreneurship. Notably, he co-founded and served as Executive Chairman of etailz, an innovative eCommerce venture that achieved $120 million in revenue and 175 employees before its 2016 acquisition. Presently, Tom is the CEO of Ignite Northwest, where he spearheads funding, acceleration, and mentorship for rapidly growing Spokane-based companies. He's also the President of Spokane Angel Alliance, overseeing a 100+ member angel investment group, and manages five angel funds. Holding board positions in various companies like Collabra, Game Plan Apps, and Kaspien, he contributes extensively to multiple ventures.

Tom's prior roles include Managing Partner at NWVA venture capital funds, and as a Managing Director at Dain Bosworth's investment banking in Seattle. He commenced his career as a CPA at Deloitte, Haskins + Sells. Educated at the University of Washington and The Wharton School, Tom also taught at Gonzaga University. His achievements earned him induction into Spokane's Citizen Hall of Fame (2018) and the Downtown Spokane Partnership’s Legacy Award (2022). Married and accomplished, Tom has completed five IronMan triathlons and is a licensed pilot.

We are understandably proud of the cutting-edge platform and modular solutions that we are building. However, great products do not happen in a vacuum. Rather, it takes a team. To this end, we are beyond grateful that we have an amazing team here at Treasury4. From the very beginning, we have been intentional about creating a culture of collaboration and establishing a high-performing team focused on customer success.
Our team members include experts in finance, treasury, product development, product ownership, UI/UX, security, analytics and more. We are heavily invested in our local community and have launched a productive internship program in partnership with both Gonzaga University and Whitworth University.
